Juilliard Extension Division Summer 2026

EVDIV 61 - Advanced Contemporary Dance Intensive Madison Hicks Designed for advanced-level dancers, Juilliard Extension’s Advanced Contemporary Dance Intensive is a five-day, conservatory-style program for artists ready to train at a high level and expand their performance range. Led by Juilliard alum Madison Hicks, dancers will sharpen technical precision, build strength and versatility, and deepen their artistry through daily technique classes and choreography rehearsal. Madison will create and set the week’s choreography, guiding dancers through a focused creative process that culminates in a final studio showing on Friday afternoon, professionally filmed for participants’ reel use.
Meredith Brown (Alvin Ailey II Company) will guest-teach Horton technique classes throughout the week, giving dancers the opportunity to broaden their exposure to different styles and train with new voices.
Midway through the program, participants will also be invited to an industry Q&A session on Wednesday evening, offering candid insight into professional pathways, expectations, and the evolving landscape of the dance field.
