EVDIV 56 - Composition Intensive (In Person or Online)

This three-session intensive provides an opportunity for students to concentrate on composing work over the summer. Composers will have the chance to hear readings of their work, benefit from critique, and explore the music of up-and-coming composers in the U.S. and abroad. During the first two weeks of June, students will receive the specifications for a compositional exercise that will be developed throughout the intensive. Class meetings will include readings of excerpts and a final reading of your completed piece.

Extensive preparation before and during the intensive is expected.
