EVDIV 231 - Solid Singing for Every Performer: A Reliable Vocal Technique for Every Genre

In this course, students are taught a healthy, versatile vocal technique, work on performance skills, and are encouraged to explore the rich literature of opera, art song, musical theater, and the Great American Songbook. Each class begins with a vocal warm-up, and the remaining time is spent on repertoire assigned to each individual singer. Students will be assigned repertoire that supports and encourages their technical growth and development as effective, communicative singing artists. Designed to address the needs of vocalists at all stages of development, Extension voice classes are comprised of participants selected from auditions and placed according to prior training and experience.

Please note: Applicants are being considered for placement into the voice program at Juilliard Extension and are not applying to any particular course. Course placement will be determined by faculty based on your application and vocal assessment.
