EVCRT 122 - Ear Training I: Part II Nathan See Ear Training I introduces a variety of fundamental concepts while setting students on a path toward mastery of the skills required to achieve a high level of musicianship. The overarching goal of this highly interactive online course is to help students achieve a deep understanding of sound as it functions in music. Upon successful completion of parts I and II, students will be fluent in fixed-do solfège, the treble and bass clefs, all diatonic intervals and triads, and will be able to perform rhythms in a variety of meters and subdivisions. Students will also gain experience with sight singing and dictation. In addition to studying the covered topics during class, students will need to prepare for weekly performance-based recitations outside of class.

Pre-requisites: Accelerated Introduction to Ear Training (or equivalent), or placement by application.
This course is presented in two parts. Each part is one semester in length. Students may enter Part I or II at any time based on placement applications.
