EVDOL 34 - Romantic Cello Sonatas Mitchell Lyon Romantic cello sonatas reveal the profound emotional and artistic dialogue between cello and piano, offering a unique lens into the evolution of chamber music. This course delves into the masterpieces of Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Franck, Rachmaninoff, and more. Students will trace the cello sonata’s transformation from Beethoven’s bold innovations to the lyrical and expressive heights of the Romantic era. Through historical context, in-depth analysis, and live demonstrations, discover the rich interplay between instruments and the intimate beauty that defines this cornerstone of the cello repertoire.
