EVDOL 13 - Dance This Season
Margaret Hall
Designed for both newcomers and passionate dance aficionados, this course highlights the most exciting dance productions arriving on New York stages in fall 2025, featuring a diverse array of ballet, contemporary, modern, and commercial dance. Each week, students will explore different choreographers and their creations, engaging in thoughtful discussions about artistic approaches, cultural significance, and performance contexts. Throughout the semester, students will discover lesser-known performance venues and vibrant communities, adding depth to your New York dance experience.

Additionally, students enrolled in the course will be eligible to receive one complimentary ticket to Juilliard Dance Division’s fall production, New Dances: Edition 2025 (December 10-14), subject to availability.
All the works surveyed will be performed in New York City during the semester, allowing students, outside of class, to see them onstage. No prior knowledge of the subject matter is necessary.
