EVCRT 321 - Ear Training III (Online) Jordyn Carmen Building on the concepts of Ear Training II, this advanced course focuses on atonal sight-reading; complex rhythmic performance; recognition and singing of seventh chords in all qualities and inversions; three-voice melodic and harmonic dictations; and four-part chord progressions with modulation. This course uses all of the seven clefs—treble, bass, soprano, alto, tenor, mezzo-soprano, and baritone—and is especially recommended for composers and conductors.
Biography: Jordyn Carmen
This is a yearlong course. Students may join in either fall or spring; however, spring placements are contingent on midyear vacancies.
Pre-requisites: Ear Training II (or equivalent) is recommended but not required; fluency in treble, bass, soprano, alto, and tenor clefs.
Placement application required unless pre-approved to enroll. Application deadline: Wednesday, August 27 @ 5pm ET.
