OPMUS 311-312 — Opera Studies

Prerequisite: OPMUS 211-212 . Students will study assigned opera excerpts in a variety of styles, from early music to modern, and may be cast in small groups as assigned by the department, under the direction of a designated musical coach and stage director. Upon successful completion of diction, music, and staging preparation, students may perform their staged scenes. Opera Chorus is an essential component of Opera Studies. Required of all third-year undergraduates.
