Elegant and profound, serene and melancholy, virtuosic and simple, these works are among the most perfect creations in the history of music.
Top Mozart Piano Concerti: Part I
EVDOL 25 01
Each week focuses on a landmark concerto and features guided listening and score walk-throughs. The course explores Mozart’s keyboard creativity as a soloist, his dialogue with the orchestra, and his approach to cadenzas and ornamentation. Featured works: K. 271, K. 414, K. 453, K. 466, and K. 503.
Top Mozart Piano Concerti: Part II
EVDOL 25 02
This segment builds on Part I, exploring further the use of color in Mozart’s compositions, his bold harmonic turns, and his orchestration choices. It also examines how the modern concerto tradition was influenced by these compositions, with impact extending as far as Beethoven and beyond. Featured works: K. 450, K. 467, K. 482, K. 488, and K. 491.
