EVDIV 515 - Music Production Workshop Benjamin Louis Brody This workshop is a survey of music production techniques commonly utilized by media composers, arrangers, orchestrators, and producers in the recording industry. The course integrates technical instruction with creative exploration, emphasizing MIDI programming, sampling, effects processing, and digital recording as tools to support each student’s individual musical style and creative objectives. Projects will include creative briefs, guided exercises, and critical listening assignments. This course is taught using Logic Pro, though faculty also have experience with Ableton, Pro Tools, and other digital audio workstations (DAWs).
Biography: Benjamin Louis Brody
This course offers both credit and non-credit enrollment options. Students registering for credit will complete graded assignments leading to a final letter grade. Passing credit students will earn Juilliard Extension credits, recorded on their transcripts and applicable toward certificate requirements.
Pre-requisite: Basic proficiency with MacOS is required.
