EVDIV 164 - Advanced Conducting Intensive

The online Advanced Conducting Intensive is designed to accommodate students worldwide. Participants gather virtually from multiple countries to explore key aspects of conducting including score study and preparation, creativity and problem-solving in rehearsal and performance, applied analysis, and how to communicate with specificity, vividness, and grace, with or without a baton. Class activities include conducting, analysis, score reading, and more; each student receives close individual attention. Course repertoire will be determined in consultation with accepted applicants and will be chosen to ensure that students repeating the class encounter fresh repertoire.

Pre-requisite: Applicants must have sufficient score-reading skills to engage with the course repertoire at an advanced level.

This course requires an online application and placement interview to be considered for placement. Application deadline: Monday, May 19 at 5pm ET.
