DRAMA 228 — Physical Comedy

This course is designed to help students develop a comedic point of view and overcome the anxiety that comes from a sense of an obligation to be funny. Improvisation in a variety of styles is developed with the class as an audience. Emphasis is on the need to approach comedic material with the same process and commitment appropriate to any other acting challenge. The work asks the actor to explore with a curious mind while testing emotional, physical, and imaginative limits.
