The Voice Department offers a full range of courses, designed to serve singers from amateur to the most advanced levels. Our courses cover a full range of styles and genres from contemporary musical theater to lieder and opera and beyond, and offer focused training in diction and performance skills crucial to the artistic growth and development of every singer and singing actor. Taken together, they are designed to constitute a comprehensive curriculum for study in the vocal arts.
Voice Classes/Solid Singing for Every Performer grouped by experience and training, stress the development of a free, healthy vocal production and confident performance skills that are applicable to ALL styles and eras of music. French Diction and Repertoire develops the ability to express and communicate effectively in the French language and gives students a working knowledge of phonetic symbols that they can apply to even more languages that they might wish to sing. The Singing for the Stage Intensive is a professional development course geared to working actors and singers seeking to enhance their performance in musical theater and other non-classical genres.
