EVDIV 059-01 - Ballet Brush Up

Ellie Kusner
Welcome to Ballet Brush Up, a mini course where you will explore the art of ballet and improve your physical and mental wellbeing. Each class will commence with barre work that progressively builds ballet steps and finesses your ballet technique. Over the six lessons, center work will address a mixture of adagio, where you will learn slow, controlled, elegant phrases that develop leg extensions; pirouettes, where you will study how to turn with precision and ease; waltzing, where you will glide gracefully through space; and allegro, where you will practice jumps in various sizes and forms. Together, these six lessons will offer a comprehensive ballet experience. Throughout this mini course, you will learn ballet terminology and develop specific ballet skills while improving your balance, strength, and coordination. Class is supported by live piano accompaniment which will help to enhance your sense of musicality. Our classes are designed for beginner to intermediate levels, but we welcome and accommodate dancers of ALL experience levels, from absolute beginners to advanced. Our classroom atmosphere is joyful, social, and mindful, focused on having fun while challenging yourself to learn and grow. Join us and experience the beauty and benefits of ballet!
