Theory and Musicianship Workshop for Singers is a course designed to enhance the skills of singers by deepening their understanding of musical scores. This program aims to provide vocalists with the foundational knowledge required to navigate the complexities of vocal music, ensuring they can interpret and perform pieces with greater accuracy and expression.

Throughout this course, students will embark on an educational journey covering the essentials of music theory, tailored specifically for the vocal performer. Key topics will include an in-depth exploration of key signatures and scales, providing singers with the tools to understand the harmonic structure of their repertoire. Additionally, time signatures and rhythm will be thoroughly examined, enabling participants to master the timing and flow of pieces across various musical genres.

An emphasis on musical symbols and terminology will equip students with the literacy needed to interpret scores independently, fostering a more intimate connection with the music they perform. This theoretical knowledge will be directly applied to a curated selection of song repertoire, facilitating practical experience in reading and performing from scores. Through this hands-on approach, learners will not only improve their score literacy but also their overall musicianship, including aspects such as phrasing, dynamics, and expression.
