EVDOL 083 — Majestic Brahms: The Third Great “B” - Youthful Indiscretions

Mirian Conti
Johannes Brahms, Classical and Romantic, conservative and progressive, represents the amalgamation of Bach and Beethoven at the peak of the Romantic movement. Schumann once declared that Brahms was “the savior of German music,” and history proved him right. Warm, lyrical, and romantically expressive, Brahms’s piano music is    a must in the standard repertoire of any pianist. His pianism is unique as is his fascinating personality. We will focus on his extensive output of piano works from the 1850s to 1890s. The ability to read music is helpful, but not required
