EVDIV 231 — Voice Class

In this course students learn vocal technique, performance skills, and are introduced to the vast vocal literature of art song, opera, oratorio, and musical theater. Each class begins with a vocal warm-up and lecture/demonstration, and the remaining time is spent on the repertoire assigned to each individual singer. Students are assigned repertoire that will best facilitate their development as a singer/performer. Designed to address the needs of singers at all stages of development, these classes comprise singers selected from auditions and placed according to ability and experience. Placement audition required.
