EVCRT 211 — Music Theory and Analysis II: Principles of Form
This course examines principles of formal structure from the smallest phrase units to complete movements in binary and da capo forms. These principles are illuminated through the analysis of examples drawn from music literature of the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as through model-composition assignments. Placement interview required.
